Originally recorded by the "5" Royales, "Think" (not to be confused with the Aretha Franklin song of the same name) later became a huge R&B hit for James Brown. Recorded live in 1997 at the New Orleans House of Blues, Taj's version of the song combines the funkiness of James' version with the Royales' "chitlin' circuit" grease, and kicks things up an extra notch with some honkin' sax and a groovy Bourbon Street strut. Roll up the rug, and get ready to party! |
