Internationally acclaimed turntablist Cut Chemist debuted his skills in 1993, with the release of his track "Lesson 4 - The Radio", a B-side to Los Angeles-based hip hop act Unity Committee's single "Unified Rebelution." Since then, Cut Chemist has delved into creating his own live music and remixing, as well as DJing. He is a member of the highly respected underground rap act Jurassic 5, and Latin-funk act Ozomatli, and has twisted the knobs for the likes of DJ Shadow and Liquid Liquid. This mixmaster of the one's and two's has also dabbled in the mainstream, contributing his trademark scratching for alternative radio act Less Than Jake.

In 1997, Cut Chemist released his debut album, Live At The Future Primitive Sound Session with Shortkut of Invisibl Skratch Piklz to great critical acclaim. Cut Chemist's recordings have also appeared on the DJ compilations Return of the DJ, Vol. 1 and Deep Concentration.

On "S.N.T. (Live At The Peacepipe)," Cut Chemist is joined by special guest Miles of Breakestra fame, and the result is a slammin', funked-up anthem guaranteed to get you out of your seat. The track starts out with a cool dub vibe, overlapped with turntable scratches. Shortly thereafter, it quickly kicks into infectious funky rhythms, hook-filled guitar riffs, and a slight case of the blues. In the end, we’re lucky enough to be left with a killer track done in typical, inimitable Cut Chemist style.

If you've got a weak spot for intelligent, dub-style hip-hop, then you've got to indulge your ears with this musical gem.
