Recorded live in 1999 at the Cambridge House of Blues, Jimmy Johnson delivers a passionate performance, singing in a high, choked voice and burning up the fretboard with some unbelievable runs. Unfortunately, his band doesn't seem to be playing at the same gig; Jimmy's playing and singing his guts out, but his compadres would seemingly rather show off their "jazzy" chops than lock in with the song's emotional content. Still, if you can get past the overly slick licks and the cheesy rhythm guitar tone, Jimmy's well worth the trouble.
