While there is some small-minded lyrical humor to be found in this junior high school-level insult, it’s a one-note joke. 2GE+HER are entirely too effective at aping boy band pabulum -- if you aren’t paying close attention, you could easily mistake “Say It (Don’t Spray It)” for the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, or hell, New Kids on the Block. Everything about this tune is cliché, right down to the workmanlike scratching (straight out of a Hanson record). A good satire should stick close to the source material, of course, but it should also have teeth, and this is pretty toothless. There are moments that are moderately amusing (hearing the line “’cause your ass is very pleasing” delivered in typical boy band fashion brings a slight smile to the listener’s face, for example), but overall 2GE+HER don’t do enough to distinguish themselves from what they’re parodying. Perhaps the video makes up for the song’s obvious shortcomings, but when judging it from an aural standpoint alone, this track is nothing more than a wasted opportunity.

i love 2gether. they ae the best band and have the funniest songs.

If I had to name my number one boy band- this would be it. How can you not love hunky premolded boy groups that sing about real things: like getting to 2nd base. These guys are halarious. If you actually like bands like Nsync and Backstreet (my heaven help you) or if you would rather see those same groups burn in hell- you will both find a common ground with 2GE+HER. They Rock in the hardest way!
