Dark, brooding, and lovely, Drugstore’s MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, “Dry,” is simple and elegant. Like the Cowboy Junkies, Drugstore have a sound that’s at once lush and stripped-down, with understated guitar, drums, bass, and cello providing a quiet, perfect backdrop for Isabel Montiero’s heartwrenchingly gorgeous lament. At times recalling Tori Amos and Alison Krauss, Drugstore’s sound is unique enough to transcend these reference points and stand on its own. Like a particularly vivid dream, this haunting track will linger with you for some time.

Excellent sound, a bit like Mazzy Star.Catchy tune.

A REAL grower, this track - ill at ease and unsettling, while at the same time uplifting. The acoustic guitar is gentle and fragile in the opening, then the rest of the band come in warming it up. The cello playing over the otherwise a capella chorus gives it a nice airy feeling; Isabel Monteiro's voice is lovely too, as always.
