Klank
Klank originated as a one-man project formed from the ashes of the New York band Circle of Dust, but has blossomed into a full-blown rock attack. First signed to Seattle’s Tooth and Nail in 1996 (in a deal cemented by the blood of band leader and namesake Darren “Klank” Diolosa’s self-induced wrist-slitting), the band has two full-length releases under their belt -- 1996’s Still Suffering on Tooth & Nail and 2000’s Numb on their own SmokeDoggProductions imprint. Fueled by Diolosa-penned lyrics of self-evaluation, the New York industrial metallists (“Klank”-- Vocals, Guitars and Keys; Pat Servedio -- Guitars, Keys, and Pogramming; Danny Owsley – Guitar; John Zaletel -- Drums) have been evolving into a force on the industrial rock scene. Klank have a message behind their music -- which they have self-produced, engineered, mixed and mastered in their home studio facility “5.4”. Riding high on attention gained from laying down the theme music for ESPN’s EXPNToday, Klank’s quest to conquer the world continues unabated. |
