Eminem
Born and raised in Detroit, rapper Eminem is the front runner of the moment in the rap world. Rhymes about beating disabled people, smoking crack and his small-breasted mother have seemed to hit their mark with every MTV-watching, middle-class, bored, baggy-pant-wearing, "I'm a tough guy," 14-year-old white kid in America. Eminem's debut album, The Slim Shady LP (on Dr. Dre's Aftermath label), sold well over 2 million copies, and his follow up release, The Marshall Mathers LP has outsold its predecessor by a large margin. Eminem began pissing-off mothers and teachers with his first single, "Hi, My Name Is." He has worked with artists such as Missy Elliot, Dr. Dre and Sway & Tech.
