Rennie Sparks writes the pair's memorably morbid lyrics and plays autoharp, and her husband Brett handles the guitar and the wistful country melodies; both of them sing. They've been recording together in their living room since around 1995, and have inspired countless critical raves for their four albums, the most recent of which (In The Air) was released in early 2000.
