In "Let's Get Together," SkaDaddyZ save themselves from becoming a mundane, repetitive ska band (which is an easy trap to fall into) by incorporating different musical styles. Although definitely a ska song, SkaDaddyZ' admiration of Santana is apparent in an all-too-short guitar solo and in the Latinesque percussion. This fusion of Latin and swing pushes the envelope of traditional ska and propels the SkaDaddyZ to a higher level of musical ingenuity. Groundbreaking revelations aside, this song really swings. |
