George Clinton returns a favor and does his best Snoop Dogg impression on this one, complete with Dr. Dre-style keyboard backing, half-stoned rhyme-just-in-time phrasing, and the "doing the doggy style" introductory shoutout. You'd be hard pressed to tell "U.S. Custom …", taken off of 1995's pseudo-concept album Dope Dogs, from Snoop's interpretation. Before the chicken and the egg get too confused, there's a few old-school funk nods to nursery rhymes, P-funk robot raps, and Sugarhill Gang melodies to keep George in touch with his roots, but it's impossible to take this blatant send-up of Snoop's 1993 Doggystyle seriously.

It was the funk sound with a little less ummff. I thought it was a little plain for George Clinton although everything he makes is definatley a good song.

It is completely out of line to compare George Clinton top Snoop Doggy firggin Dog. The track rocks.
