On "Every Shining Time You Arrive," Sunny Day Real Estate mix up a sweetly sad track that will leave fans wanting more. A pleasant acoustic rhythm guitar and a weeping lead guitar play over a drum-loop beat and occasional organ riffs. Jeremy Enigk’s delicate, echoing, Perry Farrell-like vocals put the final touches on a track that is simple and absolutely beautiful. If you’re in the market for something mellow from one of the Northwest’s most respected bands, be sure to give this one a listen. |
