No rookie to the dance music scene, DJ Micro has been DJing, mixing and producing for the past twelve years. His experience comes to bear on this track, as he works Cleveland Lounge's "Drowning" into a celebratory trance rave-up that retains enough pop sensibility to make it a crossover hit. Rather than deconstructing the song's vocals into a dehumanized sample, Micro leaves them intact, keeping all their warmth in the process. But unlike many of today's Top 40 singles that meld pop vocals with dance beats to cheesy effect, "Drowning" remains a credible underground dance hit, thanks to Micro's steady house beats and tastefully ecstatic keyboards. A treat for pop and trance lovers alike.

Not a big fan of this, the drum n bass versions are slightly better but the vocal's leave a lot to be desired!

This trance track is just as good as the drum-n-bass remixes. In keeping the original vocals in-tact, Micro makes this tune into a vocal trance anthem.

Micro has transformed one of my favorite jungle tracks into epic trance. It didn't sit well at first, but its a great track, in any form.
