When it comes to heavy metal vocalists, it's hard to find two more recognizable or influential microphone handlers than Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson. Direct stylistic descendants of Arthur Brown and Ian Gillan, these guys caused thousands of would-be metal gods to shred their vocal cords in vain attempt to mimic their air-raid siren wails. Born seven years after Halford, Dickinson was unquestionably influenced by the Judas Priest frontman, and he pays appropriate homage here by hitting a few high notes on this track from Rob's new record. It's not a duet, unfortunately, but his presence does add an extra touch of intensity to the song. Rob himself is comin' atcha with his best "Freewheel Burnin'" voice, and the guitars are as hard and meaty as a leather bar with a viagra vending machine. "We'll take you to the killing floor," he promises, and while the youth of today probably won't get it, old-school Priest fans will definitely wanna go along for the ride.
