Entombed Seeing Red Album: Uprising
Genres: Metal
Thunderous riff-o-rama from the Land of the Vikings! Hard, heavy and highly recommended! |

The opening cut from Uprising, Entombed's latest album, "Seeing Red" kicks off with some slamming power chords and a skittering lead riff, and just keeps revving up from there. "This is just a warm-up for the work ahead," promises Lars-Goran Petrov, whose throat-ripping wail is fearsome indeed, yet remarkably intelligible. The track slams along at a rapid pace, blurring the lines between death metal and classic rock; the lead break sounds like classic Motorhead (dig that thundering bass sound!), while the endless onslaught of whiplash riffage should appeal to any fan of early Metallica. Quite simply the most kick-ass new metal tune I've heard all year!
