Simultaneously brutal and accessible, D.C.”s Nothingface (translation: damn cool) is -- quite possibly -- the future of commercial metal. “Bleeder” displays the band at it’s finest, firing off an unstoppable fucking rawk missle, that’s as obnoxiously entertaining as it is angry. “Shut up ‘til I’m done talking” barks empowered frontman Matt Holt, as his adept bandmates pulverize their respective instruments. When the singer doles out the candy everybody wants -- a bittersweet delivery of lines like “My eyes see everything I want them to / I just don’t want them to see you” -- it appears that there’s nothing Nothingface can’t achieve. They’re here to topple the Bizkit and Korn-fed denizens with something -- dare I say? -- invigorating. Kick Out The Jams and break out the gauze.!
