With a bouncy feel not unlike the theme from the beloved children's show, Quickie's MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, "Mushrooms on Sesame Street," is a bright ray of power pop that has the same effect as those sunny days the kids on PBS sing about -- it sweeps the clouds away. Light and summery, this poppy little ditty will have you skipping down the street (or is that the Street?) with its infectious "doo-doo-doo, whoo-oo-oo" chorus ringing in your ears. The lyrics have a similarly childlike feel, with lines like "Red yellow green / Head full of steam / It's all keen / That doesn't mean a thing," and the chorus, which repeats the phrase "The world is blue." While the title implies that all these images of bright, primary colors may be coming from some illicit inspiration, the song never sounds anything but innocent and fun. A great little tune sure to shake the doldrums out of even the grayest of days.

This track has the catchiest hook I've ever heard. I sing it in my head all day long, ever since I heard it on FELICITY in the part where her friends threw her the birthday party. Cool track! Can't wait till they put a CD out!
