One listen to Clubhouse Pow!'s insanely catchy MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, "Spinning Around," will have the tune spinning around in you head for days! The quirky alternative rock sound will definitely remind listeners of some of the best work from bands like Ben Folds Five and Barenaked Ladies, but Pow! set themselves a part with their tasty male/female harmonies and a sensibility that's even a bit more off-kilter than their "alt-quirk-ative" contemporaries. With lyrical twists like "She eats her dinner on a see-through guppy plate/Cries to her mother saying 'I can't concentrate/Throws down, throws her plate to the ground" and "Don't you know I can see/The sky's falling on to me/Still spinning around," they make the tale of a girl who's not quite all there sound sweet and even touching. The Beatlesque bridge adds a perfect touch to this true quirk-pop original.
