	With more hooks than grandpa’s tackle box, The Blue Rags move into your memory and take up permanent residency with “Movin’ On.” Led by Jake Hollifield’s signature, barrelhouse piano leads, this Asheville, NC-based squad offers up an immediately appealing slab of country/rock ragtime. There’s a refreshingly wry, almost attitudinal delivery to lines like, “pucker on up and I’ll give you a kiss,” but more than anything else, there’s wonderful pop craft in motion. In an ideal world, an honestly-played gem of a song like this would rule the airwaves, and The Blue Rags would be more than mere cult heroes.
