A shake may not go with these Fries, but a nice, romantic evening might. Regular Fries' "Eclipse" is a MUSICBLITZ Exclusive that's as dark, beautiful, and dreamy as the title implies.

Lush, cinematic, and dreamy, Regular Fries' MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, "Eclipse," combines a danceworthy beat with breathy, subdued vocals, elegant acoustic guitar, and tranceworthy electronics. "Eclipse" at once recalls the gorgeous pop of the '80s (think the Thompson Twins' "If You Were Here" or Dream Academy's "Life in a Northern Town") and more modern electronic masters such as Moby. It's a gorgeous assemblage of sounds and mood, dreamy and psychedelic without being trippy or trip-hoppy. The song manages to be both beautiful and very sexy without being overtly romantic or sexual, either musically or lyrically -- while danceable, this one's not going to inspire lewd butt-shaking or hip thrusting, and lyrics like "Drifting into space again / You set your system, start to land / Cruise control and you're all alone" may evoke romantic images, but not really those of Cupid's intent. The full effect is a gorgeous wave of sound that washes over the listener, enveloping all who hear the song in a darkness as deep, rare, and beautiful as the name "Eclipse" would indicate.
