Dr. Didg Devon Jam (Live) Album: n/a
Genres: Jambands
You don’t have to travel all the way to Australia to get a taste of the outback! Dr. Didg is in, and he’s servin’ up the funky, “trance-&-mental” sounds of the didgeridoo on this spacey jam. |

If you’re looking for something different, you never have to look much further than the fresh beats and loops of Dr. Didg. Incorporating funky wah-wah guitar with staccato didgeridoo based-beats and samples, the trio manages to get a nice, trippy groove going in no time flat. Graham Wiggins & Co. have successfully created a “trance-and-mental” sound all their own, equal parts Aboriginal and Funkadelic. The loops can be a tad repetitive (by nature, I suppose), but the flavor that’s sprinkled over them is more than enough to keep things interesting. Utilizing guitarist Mark Revell’s skills to the fullest, “Devon Jam” is a foray into the funkier side of Dr. Didg’s repetoire. It’s not hard to see why the group is so popular on the festival circuit, as this groove is definitely built to get butts in motion. Download this track and see why the doctor is indeed, in.

Just one listen and you'll see that these guys are different... two listens and you'll want to write them a letter telling them to go back to the Ausi Outback. DR. Didg.... Australian for bad band.
