Curt's Wild Last Stand
Album: MUSICBLITZ Exclusive
Genres: Electronic
DJ Abstract's "Last Stand" is a hell of a lot more successful than Custer's was! His MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, "Curt's Wild Last Stand," is a smokin' slice of drum n' bass with more fury than a rampaging war party!

Wild beats, rapid breaks, and head-thumping bass -- does d-n'-b get any more pure than DJ Abstract's mindblowing MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, "Curt's Wild Last Stand"? It's hard to imagine distilling the genre to its roots any more purely than Abstract manages here -- the beats are relentless, the bass is infectious, and everything about the track makes your body move, almost against its will. Intelligent electronics take the tune beyond a mindless, repetitive beat, adding substance and heart to the mix. It may seem odd to describe a track that's so thoroughly mechanistic as having heart, but abstract infuses his mix with so much character that it's impossible to miss the love he has for his artform. Abstract's "Last Stand" is head and shoulders above the mediocrity that's all too commonplace in electronic music.
