Indie pop has often been the home where troubled souls hang their hats. It's a truth Death Cab for Cutie know well, which is why their own indie-pop songs sound so comfortable in their sorrowful skins. On "Title Track," from their second LP, We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes, Death Cab unfurl the kind of song that cozies up to its presiding melancholy. Singer Ben Gibbard tends a bit toward the enigmatic in his lyrics, as he looks back on an unraveling relationship. But even at his most opaque, Gibbard can convey deep-rooted feelings of regret and pain, which are further underscored by his band's sad, meandering guitars. Musically, "Title Track" doesn't add anything new to the indie-pop canon. But it is faithful to the genre's emotional tradition -- which is sometimes all that matters.

Great song for driving or lying around moping, but not for a party...so depending on your mood, check it out.

I am digging "Death Cab for Cutie." It's a mellow little tune enables the mind to open a little wider. Give it up for 'em
