Swingin' Utters Angels Pissing On Your Head Album: BYO Split Series 2
Genres: Punk
A run-of-the-mill South Bay punk anthem for sad sacks everywhere. Punk might not be dead, but mediocrities like this aren't exactly keeping it in rosy good health. |

"Four walls can't protect / From angels pissing on your head," wails Swingin' Utters vocalist Johnny "Peebucks" Bonnel, and I guess he has a point; indeed, we are all subject to the whims of fate, regardless of how much money we make or how nice a car we drive. But man, I sure wish Bonnel and his boys could've married the sentiments to music that's a little more inventive or emotive. The Thin Lizzy-like harmony guitars that open the song are nice, but they quickly dissipate in the wake of the band's generic three-chord riffing. I mean, just exactly how "punk" is it to be a pale imitation of The Clash or Sham 69? I love those bands, too, but I'd rather hear someone build on their legacy than reduce it to its blandest elements.

Yeah! This one is "pissing me off"! But I like it, anyway.

Nothing too great worth downloading...and the vocals are really hard to hear...
