The vocalist who gave you the adorable “The Boy Is Mine” continues her path to adult divahood on this sultry ballad. Like much of the material on her second album, it sets its coordinates squarely for the heart of Braxton territory, and it’s very easy to imagine Toni adding her pipes to this sort of melodic, melodramatic material, written by the dreaded Grammy winner Diana Warren and produced by the equally dreaded David Foster. Bad news for Miss Thang is, the tune sounds like a bit of a retread, both lyrically (good girl loves bad boy, a topic she’s already covered better herself) and musically, with faux-tympanis augmenting its standard-issue slow jam production. Good news is, despite those concerns, it also sounds like a guaranteed Number One. And Monica’s rapidly maturing vocals do serve notice to the older, more accomplished gals in R&B land that someone’s comin’ up fast in the mirror.

The song "What my heart says" is a really strong song. Some girls don't care what people say about, what people say about their boyfriend. But you they can never feel the way that you do when you are together. And all they do is waste their time and breath just telling the girl abouther boyfriend but she never gives up. Every man and woman should be as strong like that so they can stick up for each other. And love each other anyway
