On this track from his 2000 release, You Know My Name, Bones delivers four-to-the-floor beats that start off monotonous -- and stay there… |

Frankie Bones has long been a high-profile name on the New York house circuit, thanks to his frequent club appearances and his astounding number of mix-CD releases. But this track, from his latest mix CD, You Know My Name, leads one to wonder if the DJ/producer is not just a tad overworked. The cut is based around nothing more than a steady four-four beat and a vocal loop that proclaims, "All hail the creator" without stopping for a breath. Suffice it to say, the song runs out of steam less than halfway through. What becomes a legend most? Certainly not half-baked tripe like this.

Oh Nina ... you have lots to learn young Jedi! Frankie's lack of "melody" is for one reason, it is it is called "locking you in the groove" This is not meant to be a "song", merely a "tool" to beat unsuspecting dancers over the head with. A tool that will envelope you in it's "monotonous" glory, hypnotise your azzz and lock you in it's gaping jaws. Any one who has seen this "creator" spin will attest to these here words!
