Here's something you rarely hear anymore: Four guys playin' loud-ass hard rock for the sheer joy of it. Recorded exclusively for MUSICBLITZ, "One Track Woman" isn't about smashing the capitalist system, extolling the virtues of God or Satan, or giving teenagers yet another reason to be depressed; rather, it's simply about how fucking cool it sounds when you crank up your amps and let fly with a few harmony leads. The '70s signposts are definitely there -- the main riff sounds like Zeppelin's "Misty Mountain Hop," while the track also sports brief Nugent and Golden Earring references -- but Drunk Horse ain't on no ironic retro trip, you dig? These guys definitely bring some warped sensibilities to the table (as well as several fifths of Jim Beam, I'll wager), and are more than ready to conquer the modern world on their own terms. Will you heed their clarion call?
