	�Denied� is the lead track from Annihilator�s Carnival Diablos disc, their first with new vocalist Joe Comeau (of Overkill and Liege Lord fame). Lineup changes are nothing new for the Canadian metal stalwarts � for more than a decade, the band has basically existed as guitarist and songwriter Jeff Waters� longstanding solo project. Although there�s no shortage of musical and lyrical references to the �golden era� of thrash (lines like �Death is my savior tonight� just wouldn�t sound right coming from Fred Durst), the riffing and production sound surprisingly fresh, modern, and downright vicious. This is a sleek, polished riff-fest that�s seething with good old-fashioned metallic fury.
