An atmospheric yet highly danceable track, Meat Beat Manifesto's MUSICBLITZ Exclusive, "Martenot Waves," rushes over the listener like the tide of nostalgia one feels on a trip down memory lane. That's because "Waves" plays like an odyssey through the history of Meat Beat Manifesto's diverse career, rolling from industrial dance rhythms to funky (drum n') bass riffs to cut-and-paste samples to moody atmospherics. But this is not to say that "Waves" is drowning in the past. There’s a novelty in the way the diverse elements come together that feels original, while still reminding the listener why Jack Dangers is such a revered figure in electronic music. Nothing is unclear about this Manifesto -- it says, "you will dance, and you will like it!"
