Taproot I Album: Gift
Genres: Metal
Nu-Metalers tap a fresh vein in some hard-n-heavy terrain and deliver some emotionally-charged rock that stands out from the pack. |

Midwestern metal upstarts Taproot made a quick name for themselves thanks to a prime Ozzfest slot and their now-infamous run-in with Fred Durst. But can you name one of their songs? Well, it’s hard to stand out in the overpopulated nu-metal herd, and for Taproot’s sake it might be high time for thinning out those numbers. “I” is an admirably emotional plea from Taproot, mixing light and dark passages in time honored, Korn-proven fashion while keeping things sounding surprisingly fresh in the face of a million-and-a-half similarly crafted tunes. They’ll have to find some less trodden ground to shine on their own merits, but I’ll bet they’ve got the songwriting chops to make good on a sophomore release. May God-smack-a-Park-of-Disturbed-Roaches.

The sound of the album is on da down side. The guys have a really dark sound.

Well Jamie I think your a stupid bitch. Taproot sux dick, they are never gonna score. They are fucking lame ass, tame ass, no good ,desposable shit. I might buy the CD, and use it as a beer coaster.
Hoax
definately one of the better bands in their genre. the vocals remind me a little of tool, with that kind of desperate quality they have.
