There's just something about this band that you've gotta love. What that is however, has yet to be seen. They don't seem like particularly nice guys, they're not doing anything too inventive and the chorus of "Lit Up" is pretty damn obnoxious: "I love the cocaine/I love the cocaine." Usually, the people who boast of excessive drug use are the ones who act like complete jack-asses after one drink. But that's neither here nor there. The simple fact of the matter is that Buckcherry have thrown a big, stinky wrench in the gears of mainstream, pre-millennium hip and cool. Sixteen year-old girls with Fatboy Slim records and pacifiers around their necks and smart-ass white kids with Fred Durst pictures in their school lockers can't hold a candle to what this country has been needing for almost 10 years: a big rock band from L.A. This track makes you want to drive down Sunset, get some tattoos, drink whiskey all night at the Rainbow and go home with a stripper. Sound good? Thought so. Buckcherry has done a pretty good job at bringing out the Axl Rose/Ron Jeremy in all of us.

All I have to say is God bless rock and roll!! Finally something other than a stupid rapper with some over distorted guitars in the background. Kevin's guitar work is amazing and something about Joshua's voice just cuts right to your heart and makes you want to jump up in excitement and shout "Rock and roll never died...where were you when Buckcherry was playin' this song?!?!" Indeed...God bless rock and roll!!!
