Alien Ant Farm Movies Album: ANThology
Genres: Alternative
A thoroughly derivative but tuneful entry into the alt-rock fray from the SoCal Papa Roach protégés. Thankfully, they ditch Papa’s growls for poppier, more upbeat results. |

Every time I hear the beginning of this song (which is a lot lately), I think it’s Stone Temple Pilots. About halfway through the tune, it’s still a challenge to place exactly who the hell it is. Check your rosters, it’s Alien Ant Farm -- the latest product from Southern California’s aggro hit factory. But sharing a producer with Orgy, Papa Roach, and Slipknot hasn’t completely cast metallic tones on this relatively whimsical tune. Named for the notion that our planet is a vast extraterrestrial experiment, AAF otherwise abandons high concept for summery, sing-along alternative rock. Hardly advancing the art (but certainly providing a good party soundtrack), the Farmers fill a void usually occupied by the Smashmouth sort. Hey, it’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it.

I hardly hear this song... it's usually watching 123 Punk on musique plus(because Much is a pussy popular music station) I like it, it's new, different from what the norm is lately, and I think we're all tired of those wannabe metal fad bands and made for tv pop groups... but they're not gonna stay unknown for long... they've got the word Sellout stamped on their forehead... or it's big failure... I'm not too sure
