P.O.D. Outkast Album: The Fundamental Elements of Southtown
Genres: Metal,Rap/Hip Hop
P.O.D.'s, "Outkast" is a track worthy of a shout out. Literally. Any listener ready to let loose should check out this little tune in the spirit of Rage, Korn, and the Big Guy. |

Those who like the whisper-to-a-scream dynamics common to Rage Against The Machine's repertoire will doubtless dig this track, which builds a big head of ominous steam before exploding into a simple but effective chorus, screamed with gusto by Sonny Sandoval: "I'm an outkast/don't ever count me out." It lacks the guitar theatrics of Rage, but the song-closing instrumental freak-out is an accepatable substitute.

I found this track unoriginal and just like all the other crap that is getting radio play in this "extreme rock-rap" arena. Don't waste your time unless you're into SOAD, Staind, etc.
