Femmes leader Gordon Gano has probably sung this song thousands of times already, so it's hard to blame him for sounding a little unexcited. Still, this version (recorded live at Milwaukee's Summerfest) sorely lacks the punch of the original record.

you know, I love this song. But after seeing them live and they started throwing shoes at us and calling us spoiled southern californian prepsters...I don't care for them at all. In fact, I will personally advocate against these people ever playing in the San Diego Area ever again! (no i'm not bitter)
