Damian Marley Me Name Jr. Gong Album: Mr. Marley
Genres: Reggae
Melody Maker Damian counters the poppier leanings of older brother Ziggy with a solid, rootsy groove of his own. |

There's no mistaking Damian Marley's vocal resemblance to his father, but it's not overwhelming, which lets you enjoy this bit of boasting on its own merits. Rather than stake out the poppier territory of brother Ziggy, Damian (a.k.a. Junior Gong) goes for a solid, rootsy groove that's bizarrely -- though quite effectively -- bolstered by a braying background vocal riff.

I Love You! Your song, like prayer, has touched me with an ancient vibe passed from a great seed. You speak like a preacher in our future's language. Keep tilling the soil, your fruit is sweet!
