Ugly Duckling Journey to Anywhere Album: The Funky Precedent
Genres: Rap/Hip Hop
Long Beach, California's Ugly Duckling grooves swimmingly on this smooth as silk track that proves they're really kinda swan-like, after all. |

Inventive wordplay drives this lively song from California's Ugly Duckling. The trio trades rhymes drawn from children's games, cartoons and television shows, all while exhorting the listener to open wide their imagination. Jazzy bass lines and loungey piano loops, meanwhile, add a soulful touch to their hip-hop beats. Lovers of hip-hop with a fun, positive vibe should be sure to treat themselves to this upbeat gem.

dj kut readie ( big ass magnet )
what is this suppossed to be? it is not hip hip ane is surely not representative of ture hip hop is. kid's, just because you own a limp bizkit album or listen to rage against the machine, does not make you a rapper. plus, the beats suck. please stop making music
godfrey pickles, of the ugly orfans
I've only heard one other song by these guys, but I'd have to say their very very average compared to the masses of quality hip-hop being released these days. The track is somwhere between annoying and boring, and the lyrics I would describe as retarded story telling.
