Kid Rock is a kind of millennial update on Axl Rose: an outrageous, larger-than-life figure who's injecting some much-needed vitality -- and controversy -- into a dissipated pop scene. In case you spent the later half of 1999 living under a rock, "Bawitdaba" is a near-genius meld of thundering heavy-metal guitar riff and catchy, nonsensical chorus. This live version of his first big national hit captures the visceral appeal of his stage show, even though the sonics aren't perfect. Now get in the pit and try to love someone.
