Harking back to the Beatles circa "Penny Lane," BEULAH spins a lovely web of orchestral pop with a lo-fi sensibility. Intermittent background noise (barely audible on headphones) adds a surreal touch to this love song from a band to its audience. "Speed it up/Or slow it down/If you want/We'll change the sound," the singer promises. If only every pop idol was so accommodating.

How can you beat a combination of jangly pop, violins, and a pleading voice with earnest lyrics? It’s a fabulous tune you can’t help but bop along with.
