Marilyn Manson Sweet Tooth Album: Strangeland soundtrack
Genres: Metal
The Christian Right's favorite whipping boy puts it in neutral for this throwaway dirge. |

Are you scared? Of course you are -- it's Marilyn Manson! Like Stephen "Master of Horror" King, the former Brian Warner has been prone to coast on his fearsome reputation, and he certainly does so here. This cut from the Strangeland soundtrack wouldn't frighten a nun; the guitars are nice and crunchy, but they do little more than plod along with the rest of this forgettable dirge. Even the lyrics, generally the most interesting thing about Manson's records, are boring and uninspired ("I make the faces that make you cry"? Do tell!). Manson has done some pretty cool stuff in the past, but "Sweet Tooth" is little more than a half-hearted throwaway.
