Breaking a 17-year silence, this trilogy of new material proves that FAMILY FODDER was truly under-represented in the annals of '80s music. These melodic but angular post-punk tracks gain heat from unexpected instrumentation: accordion, violin, or a lulling, Caribbean-inflected beat. Slinky chanteuse Dominique combines the measured tone of Nico with the impassioned inflection of a torch singer, finally breaking into French for the spoken/sung finale of "Shame." If Family Fodder had ever hit the big time, these songs would be a rousing comeback; as it is, they're a wonderful introduction to a cult legend.

you can almost picture a tango scene in a quirky art film. its a very pretty song, but with enough eccentricities to catch you off guard. I love it.
