Debbie Davies Howlin' At The Moon (Live) Album: n/a
Genres: Blues
Debbie Davies offers proof that you ain't got to be a man to play a mean gee-tar, but it definitely helps to have the blues. |

Debbie's got a whole mess of problems on her mind -- hunger, poverty, racial intolerance, lack of funds for public education -- and they've all got her mad as hell. But while her concerns are laudable, her pallid vocals don't come close to matching the conviction of her lyrics. Thankfully, her white-hot guitar playing (which betrays more than a little Albert Collins influence) does most of the talking; if you've never heard Debbie Davies play before, her solo on this live track will surely knock you on your ass.
