But it's a topic that's kinda been done to death by now (anybody remember "Far Away Eyes" by the Rolling Stones?), and Patterson Hood's lyrics don't exactly add a new perspective to the canon. Hood's vocals are appealingly whiskey-drenched, however, and the banjo-stoked tune is fairly catchy, but this is hardly the best that these here crackers can do.       Dan Epstein     Dan Epstein is a Los Angeles-based journalist and pop-culture historian whose work has appeared in L.A. Worth a try, definitely Kristin Worth a listen if you're a fan of alt-country (which I am) but it relies a little too much on the same line...by the end of the song there's a good chance that you'll have had "Too much sex, too little Jesus" too Ruth hi ali
