Drawing from their roots in England’s late-’80s hardcore breakbeats scene, Technical Itch lurk in the shadowy corners of drum ’n’ bass, layering unsettling atmospherics over their edgy beat patterns -- this track from the Bristol-based duo is no exception. Warped noises swoop in and out like fighter planes in outer space; other unearthly sounds threaten to build to a climax without ever reaching one. Underneath lies a foundation of aggressive drum beats, so frenzied that their bass counterpart is essentially non-existent. While the track isn’t exactly oppressive -- it’s not particularly uplifting, either. Still, it’s a solid intro to the duo’s sound, fit for those who like their beats on the dark side.

It don't get much sicker than this!

This song is too hard for my taste. If it transitioned, or changed at all, I might like it.
