This performance begins with a request from Brad Barr for the audience to stomp their feet and clap their hands, and proceeds to give 'em a reason. "Higgley," a warm shuffle with dobro and fiddle flavors, is an uncharacteristically bluesy track for this urban groove trio. The Slip spins it their way, with Barr laying down a scat over his closing guitar solo. Fun stuff, to be sure. But with muddy vocals and loose improv, it makes for a less than convincing standard of the Slip's virtuosic talent.

Sounds genuine. However, Blues can be monotinous sometimes and this song reassures that fact.
