Well, you've gotta give these guys some points for taste and sheer chutzpah; the main riff that powers this cut from 1998's Vol. 8 -- The Threat Is Real is nicked wholesale, complete with clanging cowbell, from Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath." The chorus is considerably more modern-sounding, however, with John Bush yowling like he's auditioning for the Dave Wyndorf role in a Monster Magnet cover band, and the band slamming away with the enthusiasm of a band reborn. In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd think that this was the work of some hungry youngsters, instead of a band that has been kicking around the music biz for nearly two decades. Good for them, and -- if you like meat-and-potatoes hard rock with nary a trace of rap-metal idiocy -- good for you, too!

Anthrax is still one of the greatest thrash metal bands in the world. Vol. 8 shows they are still evolving after every record. They are heavily underrated.
Charlie

The riffs rock.
