The Dwarves Over You Album: The Dwarves Come Clean
Genres: Punk
The Dwarves may be short, but they sure ain't sweet -- except on this surprisingly non-combative track. Have punk rock's favorite shockmeisters gone soft? Hardly... |

Taking a turn toward the electronic on their latest album, the Dwarves tap into a surprisingly poppy vein for this number, which infuses a relentless industrial beat into happy-go-lucky surf guitar and drums. Shockingly devoid of any lyrical content that could be construed as offensive, this song's almost tame and catchy enough to lure your parents into singing along -- though they might not be too keen on the heavy-metal guitar riffs that punctuate each verse.

I saw the album art for "The Dwarves Come Clean" at a record store, and figured I had to hear what this band sounded like...I expected a more traditional punk sound...I don't really like the speed guitar or electronic elements going on in the song...it's worth a listen, it's an interesting blend of the surf sound and electronica...

After trying not to give them points just for being the Dwarves, I took a listen to the track and decided I liked it a lot. This would be a perfect song for a drive down the highway during the summer (unfortunately, my computer doesn't reach that far)
