A wistful, winning acoustic number, "From the Tops of Trees" finds Danielle Howle making bemused observations about the world from the vantage point of you-know-where. Howle's acoustic guitar picking is quite distinctive, her lyrics are accessible and articulate, and she puts the song across without resorting to Victoria Williams-like cutesiness or Jewel-like yodeling. It’s a strong selection from a radically underrated singer-songwriter.

I saw Danielle and The Tantrums and she majorly rocked. Everone should see her live. What a show. Her solo CD, Catalog, is very different and took some getting used to, but what a talent. That voice.
