Maybe it’s because his Buddhist studies have taught him the value of simplicity, but Radar wisely doesn’t cram too much into this showcase for his impressive turntable skills. He weaves his cuts over a simple old-school drum loop, at times approximating a chanting choir by introducing an extreme low-frequency buzz. There are the obligatory sound bites (a couple by what sound like formerly captive monks) and a couple of breakbeats added, but by and large this is about Radar and the wheels of steel – which is quite enough.
