Six Feet Under Victim of the Paranoid Album: Maximum Violence
Genres: Metal
Is it Cannibal Corpse or Six Feet Under? Only their mortician knows for sure. |

The thundering drums, the relentless guitar riffs, the growling, gutteral vocals -- "I do declare," you say in your best Bob Dole drawl, "This must be none other than Cannibal Corpse!" Alas, it's Six Feet Under, but a Cannibal Corpse by any other name smells just as, er, disgusting. The band's forceful thrust is impressive and undeniable, but whether or not you can hang with Chris Barnes' croak depends a lot upon your tolerance for death metal in general. The whole thing actually sounds pretty funny in the bright light of day; but play it in an abandoned house at the stroke of midnight, and it'll freak your shit right out.
