Everybody from Rod Stewart to (shudder) Michael Bolton has tried to put the grabs on this old soul record about getting “lost in your rock ‘n’ roll.” But Ike and Tina’s powerhouse take on this midtempo classic, complete with majestically swelling horns and Ms. Turner’s raucous vocal, is the standard against which all others versions should be measured. In case you’ve forgotten just how hard Tina could wail in her pre-VH1 days, this one will serve as a worthy reminder.
