NOFX Take Two Placebos and Call Me Lame Album: Pump Up the Valuum
Genres: Punk
These staunchly non-commercial punk-rockers bring a little piece of the Warped Tour into your living room. The sofa makes a handy moshpit. |

The title of another NOFX song says it best: “And Now For Something Completely Similar.” The band seems bent on maintaining an audience of 11-year-old skate punks by writing the same moshpit fodder it’s been making since the ‘80s. “Take Two Placebos and Call Me Lame” fits the formula to a tee: three-chord thrashing, hyperdrive drumming, sarcastic lyrics. This time they go a little crazy, adding a watery, psychedelic guitar snippet. If you believe that progress and change are overrated, then NOFX is playing your song. God knows there’ll always be 11-year-old skate punks who need entertaining.

Dude. you know it's going to be good if it's from NOFX- but still not topping their best song: August 8.
